Certification:
  • Trainees who complete the training will get a training certificate from ASU iHub that is internationally recognized through our international partner SIEMENS
  • ASU CHEP students receive 2 weeks of training credit for this training course

Training Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the student shall be able to:
  • Create and manage WinCC Projects.
  • Integrate components between WinCC and Step 7.
  • Create WinCC tags STEP 7 symbol table.
  • Establish communications with the PLC.
  • Design a complex graphic.
  • Configure internal and external tags.
  • Define & Administer User Security.
  • Set and test the WinCC Alarms and Messages.
  • Configure, archive and display Trends & Tables.
  • Configure, preview and print Reports.

    • Hardware Overview, WinCC Core Functionality, System Configurations and Open Architecture
  2. WinCC Explorer
    • Starting WinCC, Creating a new Project, Network Adapters, Project and Computer Properties
    • Manual Tag & Channel Configuration, and Cross Reference Editor
  3. Graphics Designer
    • Tools & Features for creating a graphic, Using Object, Styles & other palettes
    • Using the dynamic wizards, setting the objects properties and Grouping Objects
    • Creating a Customized Object
  4. Making Objects Dynamic
    • Direct Connect Interface, Dynamic Dialog Interface, Object C Scripting and Indirect Addressing
  5. The Global Scripts Editor
    • Creating a Project Function and Creating a Global Action
  6. User Administration & Security
    • Groups & Users
    • Log on & Log off
    • OS Security
  7. Alarm-Logging / Messages
    • Message Blocks, Message Classes & Subclasses
    • Analog Alarms
    • WinCC Alarm Control Configuration
  8. Archiving & Trending
    • Archive configuration, WinCC Online Trend Control and WinCC Online Table Control
  9. Reports Designer
    • Layouts & Print Jobs, Configuration / Documentation Reports and Alarm Reports
    • Creating & Configuring Print Jobs
Each of the above topic areas are backed up by practical exercises using a conveyor model and simulator.
Working examples are provided and tested out during the course.

Training Class Size: 
12 (max)

Prerequisites: 
Candidates should be a student Faculty of engineering  majoring in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Training Method:
The participants will 
  1. learn all contents through lectures and presentations
  2. see practically what they have studied in lectures using training kits & models.
  3. conduct practical training on what they have studied (Assemble and dis-assemble) using:
    - Models.
    - Training Kit.
    - Diagnosis devices.
    - All needed Tools and special tools.
