Game Development Workshop

The course spans more than 48 hours over 12 days.
The workshop will be held twice 11/6-14/7/16 and 13/8-15/9/16
​Location: iHub Studio, Room 218, Main Building, Faculty of Engineering, ASU
CHEP Training Credit: 4 weeks
Cost: 1000 EGP (or proof of CHEP training payment) 
(Payment needs to be made in ASU by 9/6/2016)

Training Description:
The objective of this workshop is to enable you to build a Multiplayer network-based game using C#. In this workshop, students are expected to build a larger scale game allowing two or more players to compete against each other over the Internet or over a local area network. 
During the project the students will acquire/strengthen the following knowledge/skills:
  • Programming using C# 
  • Object-oriented programming
  • GUI and graphics programming 
  • Networking and multithreading 
  • Client-Server vs Peer-to-peer networks
  • TCP vs UDP connections
  • General software engineering

Prerequisites:
  • Finished 3rd year Mainstream  Computer Engineering or Prejunior Software Engineering
