Data Networking and Network Security Essentials​​ Workshop

Training Description:
  1. The training program aims at maximizing the students’ knowledge and skills in the field of Data Networking and Network Security
  2. The program is a mixture of stand-up instruction, guided discussions, and individual and group exercises used to deliver a practically-oriented learning outcome.
  3. The program is divided to classes and workshops in the following topics:
  •  Introduction to Networking – serves as the 1st quarter of the Cisco CCNA certification – studies the fundamentals of networking: OSI and TCP/IP model layers in detail (35 hours)
  • Group labs and project (8 hours)
  • Network Security Essentials – serves as the first half of the Huawei HCNA Security certification - studies the topics of securing routers and switches and their associated networks, installation, troubleshooting and monitoring network devices to maintain integrity, confidentiality and availability of data and devices (20 hours)
  • Group labs and project (7 hours)

Students are expected to deliver a group project at the end of the workshop.Each group of 4-5 students will be required to design, create, configure and maintain a complete physical network environment and provide basic security requirements to manage and secure the network remotely.

Test exam
A written/online exam is taken at the end of the program to evaluate student’s performance.
