WebGL 3D Game Development Workshop

The course spans more than 48 hours over 12 days.
The workshop will be held during the period: 
  • Aug 29/7-24/8/17
Location: Embedded Systems Lab, Main Building, Faculty of Engineering, ASU
​CHEP Training Credit: 4 weeks
Cost: 1000 EGP (or proof of CHEP training payment)
 (Payment needs to be made in ASU by 1/7/2016).
​
​​CHEP Students who already paid their training fees, will need to fill a form and four  weeks worth of training will be deducted from their training credit

Training Description:
The objective of this workshop is to enable you to build a complete 3D game (or an animated movie if you like) on the web browser using WebGl, host it, and share it easily with whoever you like!
WebGl is an implementation of the OpenGL standard targeting graphics programming on the web. Since Javascript is THE language for browser programming, WebGl is implemented in javascript.

During the project the students will acquire/strengthen the following knowledge/skills:
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Good Javascript Programming 
  • Basics of computer graphics, modeling 3D objects, OpenGL, and how OpenGl uses the GPU
  • Basics of raw WebGl Graphics 
  • Built-in WebGl Libraries (for easier development and better graphics) 
  • Built-in WebGl Game Engines 
  • Basics of adding Multiplayer capability to your WebGl game.
