iCamp (Startup Contest) Announcement
We are delight to announce the launching of iCamp program in collaboration with Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA)
Students will compete in the “Smart City, Smart Future” program, which aims to find ways to use technology to improve people’s quality of life through factors like quality of living, environmental protection and transportation.
iCamp ( startup context) is a six weeks program that will help you to understand the concepts of Entrepreneurship and focus your efforts on your idea and refine its business concept. It helps you think critically about your idea and determine its true feasibility in the market. Additionally, it provides critical information on topics like business plan, marketing plan. In the end of the program you should have a working prototype and advertisement on your project that will be shared on iHub page.
Teams are now better equipped and start to transform into a startup. They will identify roles for each team member, develop the idea that they will work on, execute marketing research to validate the value of their idea, and then start working on their startup. Part of the team will be working on marketing, others will be working on business aspects to develop a full-fledged business proposal, while the rest will be working to deliver a working prototype for the system developed by their startup. All teams are then evaluated by a panel of judges for innovations, design process, prototype functionality and the impact of their marketing efforts.
Eligibility criteria: To have a team consists from 5 – 10 members and it’s highly preferred to have one member with business background.
