Electromechanical Track
Welcome one and all to this year’s installment of IChallenge Competition Electromechanical Track! As always iHub is eager to provide you freshmen with a unique hands on experience in the electromechanical realm. However, since your safety will always be our priority, this year things are going to be a bit different. You will still be getting the full benefits, with a bit of extra knowledge that will be explained later in more detail.
Who Could Join?The Competition Breakdown:Phase 1
|
Electromechanical Track is available for students from those departments:
We will be starting phase 1 where you will take a number of sessions on the creation of the design of your RC car. Those will include sessions on AutoCAD design, circuit design, Arduino design, Android development, PCB design and Autonomous Control (optionally). Phase 1 will last approximately 4 weeks. Step 2.1: Implementation Then, you will start implementing your designs in real life to create your RC car. Step 2.2: Evaluation Finally, you will reach the first evaluation on your car based on car maneuverability and speed as well as the design methodology
|
Phase 2
|
We will start phase 2 where you will be tweaking and adding different options to your RC car based on the evaluation you have received and any extra ideas that may come to mind. Phase 2 will last approximately 2 weeks
After adding your final touches, we will then evaluate your RC car for the second time. This evaluation will judge your cars based on idea innovation and execution. |
Final Event Lastly, we will have the closing event where the winning teams will receive their prizes
Note:
That there will also be an optional task where you will learn to Control your cars Autonomously and designing the electrical circuit using PCB.

Things to Keep in Mind
- Sessions will be a mixture between offline (On Campus) and online meetings.
- Sessions and Creating RC car, both will be simultaneously (not the session then another phase of creating the RC car).
- The evaluations will be performed offline till further notice.
- We recommend that only 1 team member be responsible for the physical RC car and purchases all the equipment online to avoid placing yourselves in any danger.
- Teams will consist of 4 to 6 members.
- Our team will provide offline / online support for all your needs throughout the phases.
