iClub announcement
iHub in collaboration with Academy of scientific research and itida are delight to announce the launching of the pre incubation program, iClub to develop more startups. The program enables the innovators to build their startups by synergizing their business plan with global best practices thereby helping them to successfully enter the market and scale up their business. Through a range of services including training, mentoring, networking and assistance in obtaining financial support, the program will develop the entrepreneurial skills and resources of the Start- Ups, enabling them to take their projects to the next level.
iClub is a 12-weeks intensive business program. It starts with the technical support for the accepted students in form of trainings follows by business and technical mentorship rounds. We will work together with you to sharpen your value proposition, define your target market, get market feedback on product/technology and create and achieve milestones to bring your company to the market. We will accept in this round ten startups after undergoing the appropriate screening and interviews by the selection committee.

We are looking for startups in their early stages of business with a proof of concept. Social ventures are also welcome which have a scalable business and sustainable business model. We look for startups that have a clear value proposition and quantifiable benefits.
Impact- The idea or the prototype has to make a change in our community and to add value and create new opportunities.
Feasibility/Potential Success – Potential for significant progress to be made after receiving the technical support and seed fund. The extent to which the applicant has a clear plan, demonstrating they have thought through their idea or how to convert their idea or prototype into real startup.
Innovation – How innovative the prototype is. The prototype may be completely new, implemented in a new way, or implemented in a new location. It can be a product or technology, a market based solution or a service that is either entirely new or being used in a novel and beneficial way.
Startup scope preferred to be in one of the following sectors
• Technology based innovation
• Health
• Environment
• Education

Submission of Application
· Applications are accepted between June 27, 2018 (Wednesday) and July 15, 2018 (Saturday)
· Students, individual or in a team, are required to fill-in an Application form and submit the completed form on iHub website.
· If you have any inquires regarding the application submission, please send it via email: muhamed.elamir@eng.edu.eg
· A briefing session will be held in the beginning of -July 2018, to familiarize potential applicants with the requirements of the Application Form, as well as the important points to note while preparing the Execution Plan. We welcome inquiries and may assist in filling the Application Form with meeting arrangement.
Screening Process
· Applications will be assessed and selected by an Assessment Panel comprising representatives from Ain Shams University Academic Staff, iHub Team and established Entrepreneurs.
· Shortlisted applicants will be contacted for interview
· Results will be announced on iHub website in July 2018. Successful applicants/ teams will thus be notified individually.
Program services
Training: training is an integral part of iHub pre -incubation program iClub, giving them the skills they need to develop their ideas into a workable startup.
Working space: The program will offer a working space for the program beneficiaries to give you a chance to work side by side with other entrepreneurs at a similar stage.
Networking Opportunities: iClub program will organize events and host speakers to interact with the program beneficiaries. The teams then have additional opportunities to pitch their startup, meet potential investors, or possibly recruit for their startup.
Mentorship: The mentorship program is designed to give program beneficiaries tailored advice from experienced individuals. You will be offered two types of mentorship:
Business mentors: This type of mentorship aims to see where your startup is heading and to convert the idea into real business. Also it aims to improve its performance and to save the business from major errors and costly mistakes
Technical mentors: This types of mentorship aims to help the program beneficiaries in any to turn those ideas and technology into a product and company and to avoid technical breakdowns
Seed fund: The program will offer up to 10,000 EGP to selected number of participants in order to continue building their prototypes.
