iLab'15 Internship @ Tegrom
What you will be working on?
FPGAs with Hard Processor System (HPS) provide the ultimate combination of hardened intellectual property (IP) for performance and power savings, with the flexibility of programmable logic. They are a combination that is rarely found in one solution. FPGAs with HPS are the target of choice to security applications as they facilitate the development of such complex systems. Encryption algorithms in particular require a high performance FPGAs especially when speed is of prime concern. Gigabit Ethernet is a typical example where speed is a challenging problem to developers. In this project, it is required to build a secure web server that resides on an SD Card connected to FPGA chip. The FPGA chip will make use of HPS processor to encrypt/decrypt data transfer to the web server through gigabit Ethernet link. AES algorithm can be used for data encryption between the server and the client. Figure aside illustrates the concept design of the project. Interns in this project will be responsible for the Design, implementation, testing and evaluation of a secure web server over gigabit Ethernet networks.
