Internship with ICpedia & Spectratronix @ iHubLocation: Cairo, Egypt

The scope of this internship is to build a 802.11p transceiver that will allow the vehicle to communicate with other vehicles (V2V) or with stationary road side unit (V2X). The physical layer of this communication link comprises of a 802.11p baseband processor that is connected to an RF transceiver that is finally connected to a 5.9GHz optimized integrated antenna.
Requirements:
- Undergrad in Ain Shams University
- To be a Junior (2nd year) or Senior I (third year) student
- To be from the following programs/departments: ECE, CSE, COMM.
- Knowledge and experience in the following is a plus:
- VHDL/Verilog
- Digital IC Design
- Antenna Design
- Using the Synopsys/Mentor Graphics Design Flow
- Microcontroller based systems
Responsibilities:
- Be available and dedicated for 1 day/week for the duration of the internship (20 weeks)
- Assist in building and testing a complete 802.11p transceiver
- Document all data and results following the iHub documentation guidelines
