NanoRobotics Group
Nanorobots, nanomachines, and other nanosystems are objects with overall dimensions at or below the micrometer range and are made of assemblies of nanoscale components with individual dimensions ranging approximately between 1 to 100 nm. The envisioned nanorobotic applications range from medical to environmental sensing to space and military applications. For example, nanorobots could be used to give precise drug delivery for repairing cells or to seek and destroy pathogens. Some researchers believe this would cause a paradigm shift from treatment to prevention in the medical community.
The current team is an interdisciplinary group, whose main focus is Bio-nano-robotics. The team involves experts in the fields of nanotechnology, mechatronics, robotics, microbiology, and drug administration. The team is currently looking for new members.
