Practical Training Options for BLDG Students
In addition to curricular knowledge that you acquire in the university, a successful engineer should have been exposed to practical aspects of his career. At iHub ( in collaboration with the administration of the university), we have devised several training options to suit different levels and are spaced (as much as possible) throughout the summer.

Zero Energy House Contest (Must show proof of completing Level 2)Fees: 2 Credit Hours
Training Credit: 6 weeks BLDG students will have the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and abilities by joining interdisciplinary teams competing to build the best Zero Energy Houses. Teams will focus on designing houses that satisfy certain needs and constraints such that it generates all energy needed for the consumption of its inhabitants. Teams will be mentored by professionals and will include students from other disciplines such as architecture, energy. mechatronics, communication, software and business. Maximum number of BLDG students per team is one. The best teams will be selected by panel of highly experienced judges, nationally recognized and will win a valuable cash prize.
