Embedded Systems Hands-on ​Workshop

The course spans more than 60 hours over 4 Weeks .
Time:  Starts around 13/7/19
Location: Embedded Systems Lab, Faculty of Engineering, ASU
CHEP Training Credit: 4 weeks
Cost:  2 Credit Hours

Hands-on Embedded Systems Workshop

Training Description:
In this workshop, participants will learn the basics of embedded systems in a fun environment aiming to build a launcher to help the angry birds retrieve the eggs stolen by the evil pigs. Participants will compete to build the most accurate smart launcher. In this workshop, student will cover the following topics in 8 sessions:
  • Introduction To Embedded systems
  • Introduction To microcontroller and revision on microcontroller Arch. 
  • DIO (Led, switch, relay, 7 segmant,keypad )
  • Timer (Timer - Counter - Input Capture - PWM )
  • Motor control (Direction and Speed)
  • Interrupt + LAP "interrupt + How to write code in multiple files) 
  • Serial communication (UART- SPI -I2C) 
  • Introduction to SWE and SW design and project

Group Project 
Each group of 4-5 students will be required to model, design, implement a complete angry bird launcher
